Rate Of ReturnThoughts on the news that China "might" restrict NVIDIA H200☞
1. US reports that China is using various methods to obtain advanced chips, including H200
2. NVIDIA has designed a user-selectable location tracking feature on the newly produced Blackwell
3. Chinese tech giants rent advanced chip computing power in Japan, leading to sanctions on related Japanese companies
4. NVIDIA's so-called "zeroing out" of the Chinese market
☞Business continues as usual, it's just a matter of whether it's above board or under the table. No one can completely ban imports or exports.
Ban chip exports? They'll find ways to get chips. Can't get chips? Rent computing power overseas.
Ban chip imports? Major companies will still find ways to get computing power. If all else fails, set up computing centers overseas - but that might be counterproductive.
Conclusion: Business must go on, just in different ways😃
