$Intel(INTC.US) I spent the weekend researching SambaNova's RDU, a hardware that is more versatile than Broadcom's ASIC and more powerful than GPUs, somewhat like an AI version with pre-set operator circuits, directly building large models on the chip and just inputting/outputting data streams. Intel once acquired Altera for heterogeneous computing, but it didn't work out in the end. Can Intel succeed in AI inference computing this time? Given its track record, it's hard to say.
