Just saw a short video,

At the entrance of a primary school in Ningbo, Zhejiang, a passerby filmed a father scolding his chubby fifth-grade son who refused to go to school on the street,

Some said, "Apply for a leave of absence, take one or two months off to let him experience his parents' life🐶", "Take him along to deliver takeout, and if there are stairs, make the child deliver the food. If he's late, don't let him eat. It won't take long, just a week is enough";

Others thought, "There must be a reason for not wanting to go to school. Education at the bottom is really terrifying. A child growing up in that environment really won't be healthy🤣🤣";

Some others said, "Apart from being targeted by a few teachers, it's more likely that he's being bullied. In our village, two little girls refused to go to school one after another. I told my mom they were being bullied at school, but she didn't believe me. She said I was talking nonsense, but later we found out that someone at school was indeed bullying them";

Looking at the profiles of the commenters, the age distribution includes people born in the 70s, 80s, 90s, and 00s. Those who made the first type of comments were mostly manual laborers, such as truck drivers, delivery riders, and construction workers;

Actually, the third type of comment is quite fair. Schools are like a small society. From the video, it's clear that the father's electric bike has a $MEITUAN(03690.HK) delivery box in front, meaning this father is most likely a $MEITUAN(03690.HK) delivery rider. He uses this bike to take his child to and from school every day. It's reasonable to assume that the child has been teased—or more accurately, bullied—by classmates because of his parents' job. Yet, the father only resorted to a simple and rough method: spanking the child in front of dozens of people on the street, the so-called 'spare the rod, spoil the child' approach;

Due to work, I know many older colleagues and clients, and inevitably, I notice how they educate their children. Even though the post-80s generation are now parents, living in the third decade of the 21st century, some still educate their children the same way as the post-50s and post-60s parents (to be precise, that generation was mostly manual laborers, the so-called 'laborers' that have become trendy recently). They lack communication with their children and don't understand their real thoughts;

From the perspectives mentioned above, we can recognize that the differences in people's cognition stem from their respective environments and professions;

As the saying goes, "Dragons beget dragons, phoenixes beget phoenixes, and the sons of mice know how to dig holes." In humans, this manifests more as the continuation of cognition rather than genes.
