SpaceX initiates investment bank selection!
Last week, Musk outlined the vision of a "space data center"—this is both a technological vision and a valuation catalyst. To achieve this goal, SpaceX must provide launch capabilities, Starlink bandwidth coverage, orbital platform maintenance, and long-term operational support. In other words, a space data center cannot be established by concept alone but relies on SpaceX's launch and Starlink network as infrastructure.
An internal memo from SpaceX CFO Bret Johnsen to employees revealed that if the IPO proceeds, the fundraising purposes will include: increasing the launch frequency of Starship rockets to "insane levels," deploying AI data centers in space, and advancing unmanned and manned Mars missions.
