iPhone 20th Anniversary to Feature "Four-Curved Borderless" Design
According to a report by Wall Street News, Apple plans to launch its iPhone 20th anniversary commemorative model in Q3 2027, which is expected to feature a groundbreaking "four-curved truly full-screen" design. South Korean media Dealsite reports that this model will achieve screen curvature extending to all four corners of the device body, delivering an unprecedented borderless visual effect.
This design innovation presents new technical requirements and value considerations for upstream core supply chains. As Apple's key glass cover supplier, Lens Technology's precision manufacturing capabilities are seen as critical to realizing this design. Public information shows that Lens Technology has made multiple breakthroughs in core technologies such as "four-curved equal-depth micro-arc glass," which enables balanced curvature around the screen while ensuring strength, light transmittance, and precise integration with internal display components in the bent areas.
This technological leap is expected to directly drive significant increases in per-unit value. Industry analysis indicates that current 3D glass covers for premium models are valued at approximately $25-30. Due to exponentially increased process complexity and yield challenges, the four-curved design's value could potentially double.
