Commemorative$Synopsys(SNPS.US) On January 14 local time, GlobalFoundries announced that it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Synopsys' ARC processor IP solutions business, including its team of engineers and designers. This acquisition will expand the company's RISC-V and AI product portfolio and software tools, and accelerate the development of custom chips. The transaction is expected to be completed in the second half of 2026.
