Orders去年 12 月 5 日將軍澳線列車事故的調查報告。報告確認事故成因是列車第六卡車廂中的半永久車廂中的裝置內，一個用於固定緩衝器的套環鬆脫，致緩衝器移位。除了拆開車卡之間同類車勾裝置內的緩衝器檢查外，公司正積極落實報告內的改善建議，包括在本月底前完成進一步加固全線列車的同類型套環，同時亦要求供應商逐步更換為設計優化的緩衝器，以及探討使用科技以監測緩衝器的情況。
去年 12 月 5 日早上，一列往北角方向的將軍澳線列車在即將駛入將軍澳站時，因列車第六及第七卡車廂之間的車間通道有異常伸延，列車故障保護裝置在偵測到有關情況時被啟動，並及時制停列車。將軍澳線調景嶺來往寶琳及康城站的列車服務一度暫停，並在當日約中午回復正常。
