If we want to open the Strait of Hormuz, relying solely on aerial bombardment is definitely not going to work; it can only be resolved through negotiation. Facing a populous country of over 90 million people, a ground war would be extremely difficult. Trump would never make that move. So, the script going forward is basically that on the surface, no one backs down, they threaten each other and talk tough, but behind the scenes, negotiations are still going on intensively.
