Oil prices remain weak around $71, and both sides of the traditional energy sector have entered a "dividend mode": $ExxonMobil(XOM.US) relies on buybacks for support, and $CHINA SHENHUA(01088.HK) holds on with its dividend yield. When energy stocks have no price elasticity, the only reason left to hold them is to collect dividends—this isn't a bad thing, a portfolio always needs a few stocks you don't have to watch the news for.
