Traded Value$Tesla(TSLA.US) Yesterday near the close, I told a friend to buy some puts because I no longer trade options myself, but I am still choosing to short SPCX and Tesla's stock. I plan to liquidate within five minutes of the open or at the close, then switch to long.
Here are my reasons and analysis for doing this:
First, today's profits were significantly below expectations, which is the best opportunity for bears to ride the momentum. Most bears will likely continue adding to their short positions.
Second, previous revenue growth and FSD promotion have already been priced into the stock. Bulls might even change direction, switching from long to short, further day-trading to accumulate shares at lower prices.
Third, revenue growth is definitely a positive factor in the medium to long term. I believe the price will return to value investing levels (around 330 or 280).
Fourth, in recent earnings reports, whenever the stock dropped on the day of the report, it recovered some losses the following day, to varying degrees.
