SpaceX OptionNvidia is negotiating to provide a $250 billion financing guarantee for OpenAI.
This guarantee will enable OpenAI to lease a 10-gigawatt data center built by SoftBank in southern Ohio.
The total cost of the entire project may exceed $500 billion.
Its power supply is actually allocated by the US government, with financing provided by Japan under a recent trade agreement.
Nvidia is also separately considering providing an additional $350 billion to fund OpenAI's chip procurement.
This could be one of the largest data center projects ever.
