You need to set strict targets for adding and reducing positions, then just execute. I reviewed an add-position logic, which is quite decent and can be borrowed.

If it drops 10%, add 10% of the total position.

If it drops 20%, add 20% of the total position.

If it drops 30%, add 30% of the total position.

If it drops 40%, add 40% of the total position.

Until all positions are fully added. Otherwise, you'll feel bad if it drops (why did I add too early?), and you'll also feel bad if it rises (why didn't I buy more?).
