If you hold firm, there's always a way. I even went all-in on the 'Dali Shi' (strongman) play, but luckily most of my core position is in 'old money' stocks, so these past few days have been really satisfying.

Those who took the time to research individual stocks or ETFs in depth made quite a profit. Meanwhile, those who bought blindly following the crowd invariably lost money, sometimes suffering huge losses.

Investing is ultimately a personal journey of self-cultivation. If your investment decisions rely heavily on referencing others' trading choices, you should give up stock trading as soon as possible.

Unfortunately, I have once again proven that my trading skills are quite 'humorous.' This reminds me of last summer when I cut my losses at 272 and exited UnitedHealth Group with tears in my eyes; this time around, it was optical communications and memory chips.

But fortunately, I haven't lost my seat at the table. However, the extra chips I won are almost gone. As of today, my overall excess investment return has nearly returned to zero, leaving only about 10%. In reality, I'm worrying like someone selling diamonds but earning peanuts from selling cabbage. After adjusting for risk, the returns are negative.

Looking back at all these past events, I feel like a comedic clown. But I think it's fine; being a clown is better than being a clown who stubbornly refuses to admit mistakes. Looking back, the annualized return of long-term dollar-cost averaging and rebalancing an ETF portfolio this year was 4.6%, slightly lower than Allw. This might be because bonds were bought at their peak during the rebalancing at the end of Q2, but none of that matters now.

I've been feeling mentally and emotionally distressed these past few days, solely due to the massive volatility in my active positions. This actually shows that I don't have the capacity to handle such high-risk, high-volatility portfolios. It's time to make adjustments.

Leaving is for a better beginning. So, I, too, have given up stock trading.
