两者都是衡量中国经济运行状况的重要指标，但财新 PMI 一方面覆盖范围更广，另一方面主要来自中小企业，对经济运行的真实状况体现的更明确。
5 月财新中国制造业 PMI 升至 50.9，时隔两个月重回扩张区间，说明经济开始复苏，而且是排除了 1-3 月报复性消费反弹后的真实复苏，意义重大。
上午，财新 PMI 数据出炉，A 股、港股直线拉升，说明该数据大幅改善了市场的悲观预期。 与宏观经济强相关的消费（食品饮料、旅游酒店）、医药、新能源（锂电、光伏）、互联网等快速拉升。 这是一个好的开始。
