Domestic media have discovered that several factories in Dongguan producing counterfeit Labubu have suddenly ceased operations, attracting market attention. Investigations show that the counterfeit factories have stopped production and are clearing inventory, possibly related to the strengthened copyright regulation by mainland law enforcement agencies.

A person in charge of a Dongguan factory producing counterfeit Labubu figurines told domestic media reporters that their factory has currently stopped producing Labubu counterfeits. Meanwhile, the person also set the visibility of their WeChat Moments from "visible every day" to "visible for the last six months." Additionally, on relevant social media platforms, some personal accounts of factories producing counterfeit Labubu have deleted all videos showcasing the counterfeit Labubu, but did not provide a reason.

According to recent media reports, relevant staff from the Yiwu Market Supervision Administration clearly stated that producing and selling Labubu must obtain legitimate authorization, and the regulatory authorities have always taken a strict stance against counterfeiting.
