Estée Lauder Companies announced that its honorary chairman Leonard Lauder passed away on June 14 at the age of 92. Leonard was born in 1933 in New York City and was the eldest son of Estée Lauder, the founder of Estée Lauder Companies. He officially joined Estée Lauder Companies in 1958, served as president from 1972 to 1995, held the position of CEO from 1982 to 1999, and became chairman in 1995 until his retirement in June 2009
