SKYTRAX, the British airline rating agency known as the Oscars of the aviation industry, announced the top 100 airlines in the world for 2025. Cathay Pacific (00293.HK) rose from 5th to 3rd place, marking its return to the top three since 2025. Qatar Airways and Singapore Airlines ranked 1st and 2nd, consistent with their rankings in 2024.

In addition to the overall ranking improvement, Cathay Pacific has won the "World's Best Economy Class" for two consecutive years and recently received the "World's Best Inflight Entertainment." However, it dropped from 1st to 3rd place in the cleanest airlines ranking, while its cabin crew ranking improved to 3rd, up two places from last year.

As for other Hong Kong airlines, Hong Kong Airlines rose 5 places to 56th, while Cathay's subsidiary Hong Kong Express (HKExpress) climbed from 119th to 72nd. Greater Bay Airlines did not make the list
