Question: We have noticed that China has initiated a discrimination investigation regarding the United States' measures in the integrated circuit sector. Can you provide more information about this? Answer: In recent years, the United States has taken a series of prohibitive and restrictive measures against China in the integrated circuit sector, including the Section 301 investigation and export control measures. These protectionist practices are suspected of being discriminatory against China and are aimed at suppressing China's development of advanced computing chips and high-tech industries such as artificial intelligence. This not only harms China's development interests but also seriously undermines the stability of the global semiconductor industry chain and supply chain, which China firmly opposes. In accordance with Articles 7, 36, and 37 of the Foreign Trade Law of the People's Republic of China, China has decided to initiate a discrimination investigation regarding the United States' measures in the integrated circuit sector and will take corresponding measures against the U.S. based on the actual situation. This investigation will be conducted in accordance with the principles of fairness, impartiality, and openness, and we welcome all stakeholders affected by the U.S. measures, including domestic industries and enterprises in China, to actively participate in the investigation. China will take all necessary measures to defend the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese enterprises
