The mainland parent company ByteDance will retain a 19.9% stake, while the remaining 35% will be held by existing investors and new shareholders of ByteDance.
The report states that U.S. President Trump will sign an executive order on Thursday regarding TikTok's U.S. operations, allowing TikTok to continue operating in the United States. The newly formed TikTok U.S. board will primarily consist of U.S. members, with Oracle responsible for overseeing secure operations, and the transaction does not involve direct government ownership or "golden shares."
According to a law previously passed by Congress, ByteDance must divest TikTok's U.S. operations within a specified timeframe, or it will be forced to cease operations. Trump signed an order last week extending the divestment deadline to December 16
