The "2025 China Ocean Development Index Report" shows that the marine environmental conditions in our country are steadily improving, and new industries such as marine tourism are developing rapidly. According to the report released in September by the National Marine Information Center and the China Ocean Development Research Association, the current national marine environmental conditions are steadily improving. The overall seawater quality remains stable, with the proportion of excellent water quality in coastal waters reaching 83.7% in 2024. The pressure on the marine environment has been effectively alleviated, with the total emissions of major pollutants from key monitored direct discharge marine pollution sources decreasing by over 35% compared to 2015. As the marine ecological protection and restoration are being advanced in an orderly manner, the overall marine ecological conditions nationwide are stable in 2024, with some local areas showing improvement, and the conditions of coral reefs, seagrass beds, coastal salt marshes, and mangrove ecosystems are predominantly excellent
