In August 2025, 46,000 imported vehicles were recorded, a year-on-year decrease of 40% and a month-on-month decrease of 8%. From January to August, 320,000 imported vehicles were recorded, a year-on-year decrease of 33%, marking a significant decline that is rare for this period. After reaching a peak of 1.43 million imported vehicles in 2014, the numbers began to decline. There was a slight stabilization in import growth from 2016 to 2017, but since 2018, there has been a continuous decline. In 2023, the import scale sharply decreased, with only 800,000 vehicles imported for the entire year, a year-on-year decrease of 10%. The import scale continued to shrink in 2024, with only 700,000 vehicles imported for the year, a year-on-year decrease of 12%. Currently, from January to August 2025, 320,000 imported vehicles have been recorded, a year-on-year decrease of 33%, indicating significant pressure on the imported vehicle market. The pressure on imported vehicles in August remains substantial. The top 10 countries for import volume in August 2025 are: Japan 22,785 vehicles, Germany 8,926 vehicles, Slovakia 4,465 vehicles, the United Kingdom 3,539 vehicles, the United States 2,902 vehicles, Sweden 1,549 vehicles, Mexico 423 vehicles, Hungary 295 vehicles, Austria 182 vehicles, and India 100 vehicles. Among these, the top five countries with the largest year-on-year increase are: the United Kingdom 321 vehicles, India 93 vehicles, Finland 52 vehicles, Mexico 13 vehicles, and China 11 vehicles
