Apple (AAPL.US) and Formula 1 (F1) announced on Friday that they have signed a five-year media broadcasting rights agreement, starting in 2026, all F1 events will be exclusively broadcast on Apple TV.

According to the agreement, Apple TV will provide complete event broadcasts, covering practice sessions, qualifying sessions, and sprint races, all included in the existing ad-free subscription plan of $12.99 per month. Some races and all practice sessions will be available for free viewing on the Apple TV app.

According to informed sources, Apple will pay approximately $140 million per year for the F1 broadcasting rights. The current broadcaster for F1 is ESPN, owned by Disney (DIS.US), which has paid an average of about $85 million per year in the past
